Fragility of Nature by Judith Shamp

The color scheme for this drawing and the cover is based on paintings from the Munch Museet in Oslo Norway. Munch, who  is known for his painting "The Scream." showing a ghostly figure on a bridge, used colors like these in some of his more autobiographical works on display at that museum. The colors represent his energetic, angry, passionate side as well as his helpless, fearful, depressed side. Munch. whose lost his mother and sister to tuberculosis when he was young, was hospitalized several times in his life for depression and alcohol abuse.
